What to expect...
Day one – we will meet at the reception area at 3pm for check in.
Settle into our house, talk and get to know each other a bit.
Once we are settled and relaxed, we can enjoy a T’ai Chi Chih or Yoga session followed by
Happy hour I will bring some wine to share.
We will have dinner together and then relax in the healing pools.
I will have a schedule for the rest of the days to follow.
A typical day at our wellness retreat offers a well-rounded experience aimed at rejuvenating your mind, body, and spirit. Begin your morning with a tranquil yoga practice, followed by a T'ai Chi Chih class to promote balance and harmony. Engage in guided meditation sessions that will help you find inner peace and clarity. I will cook and provide healthy meals throughout the day. Please feel free to bring any snacks or drinks you’d like either for yourself or to share.
In addition to these enriching activities, our retreat boasts five natural healing pools, where you can immerse yourself in the soothing power of nature. Indulge in ample free time, allowing you to explore the surrounding hiking trails, breathing in fresh air and connecting with the beauty of the natural environment.
Ojo Calente Resort also has a luxurious full-service spa, where you can pamper yourself with a range of rejuvenating treatments. Be sure to reserve your spot in advance to secure your preferred time.
For those seeking additional therapeutic experiences, we offer energy work treatments like Reiki and Sound Healing therapies at a small cost. These alternative therapies are designed to promote healing, balance your energy, and cultivate a deep sense of well-being.
This retreat is your own. I encourage you to personalize it with your preferences. It's all about you! You have complete freedom to customize your time and activities according to your desires. While we do have a schedule for meals and group activities, your level of participation is entirely up to you. Feel free to engage as much or as little as you wish, ensuring that every moment aligns with your personal needs and preferences. Relax, unwind, and make this retreat your own.
Daily Yoga
Yoga offers a multitude of advantages for both the mind and body. The practice focuses on self-healing and encourages connection to inner selves and bodies. During our yoga classes, we’ll engage in a combination of poses that stimulate the release of mood-boosting endorphins, as well as postures that promote relaxation and tranquility. The physical benefits of yoga are extensive, including improved flexibility, enhanced muscle strength, and cardiovascular conditioning. One of the remarkable aspects of yoga is its accessibility to all skill levels. We will be encouraged to explore our personal limits without striving for perfection.
Daily T'ai Chi Chih
TCC teachers and students describe the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual changes they have experienced, many within a few days or weeks of beginning classes. The effects of the practice are cumulative, so many health improvements take place over time. Migraine headaches lessen and even disappear. Joint pain ceases. Happiness increases. Peacefulness pervades. Blood pressure comes down and joy goes up. Everyone’s experience is different, but most report positive changes.
TCC practice allows the essential energy that moves within us all to circulate and balance. That in turn improves our health and sense of well-being. I personally experience a sense of peace and balance.
Daily Guided Meditation
Meditation, is the art of dedicating moments to nurture your mind, allowing it to learn the art of concentration and steering your thoughts in the desired direction. It's a marvelous practice that enables you to minimize stress, embrace the positive aspects of life, and silence the never-ending chatter that fills our minds 24/7.

Thus, scheduling the time during your weekend for a guided meditation session will work wonders for your stress levels and ability to focus. This is designed for all participants of the retreat.

Immerse and Heal with All-Day Access 10am – 10pm
At Ojo Caliente, the communal pools lie at the core of their offerings, and we are invited to indulge in their healing embrace. In this serene setting, we will fully immerse ourselves in the health benefits of soaking, while connecting to our group and other travelers. The pools, each boasting a unique design and offering breathtaking views of our natural surroundings and meticulously landscaped grounds, await exploration.
I encourage you to experience the distinct qualities of each pool, as their temperatures range from a soothing 80 to an invigorating 105 degrees. Immerse yourself in each pool and relish in the enriching minerals that offer a different experience in every embrace. It's a whisper zone, so kindly remember to maintain a peaceful atmosphere throughout the springs area. I will do my best to have maps and information on each one. I cannot wait to check them all out.
